Casteks was invited to participate in the high-end ductile iron casting spheroidizing process technology seminar

From June 13 to June 14, 2024, the high-end ductile iron casting spheroidizing process technology seminar was successfully held in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Our company was invited to participate and actively participated in the ductile iron process technology exchange. The exchange meeting was co-organized by the East China Foundry Association and the Automobile Foundry Branch of the Shanghai Automobile Industry Association. Experts and scholars such as Liu Jincheng, consultant of the China Foundry Association, and Xu Jinfeng, member of the Expert Committee of the China Foundry Association, participated in the discussion.

During the seminar report stage, the participating experts shared with everyone the development history and cutting-edge technical research results of high-end ductile iron, and drew a blueprint for the future development of ductile iron technology.

During the exchange phase of the meeting, the participating companies raised their own questions about the problems encountered in their respective production practices. Our company actively participated in the discussion and consulted experts on the issue of meeting the height-to-diameter ratio of large-scale spheroidizing ladles. Experts gave a more feasible solution from the perspective of actual production - conventional damming at the bottom of the ladles and rapid iron spheroidization. In terms of technical application, our company raised its own doubts about the pros and cons of controlling the eutectic point of molten iron composition. Experts explained the impact of the technology from different perspectives, which gave us a clearer understanding of the technology.

Ductile iron is a very important material in cast iron, and its development is inseparable from the support of enterprises.
